The National Union of milk producers (Soyuzmoloko) in the next three years predicts the launch of projects for the production of cheese with a capacity of 200 thousand tons in Russia, in this regard, the segment is expected to have an "explosive demand" for specialized equipment. This was announced by General Director of the National Union of milk producers Artem Belov during a session on Innoprom-online, dedicated to the automation of the food industry.

‘There are sectors where demand for equipment is expected to boom in the coming years,’ he said. - We will have an explosive demand in the cheese production segment. In the next three years, projects for about 200 thousand tons of production will be implemented. To make you understand, this is about a third of what we produce now.’

In general, many enterprises in the industry require quite serious modernization, so the demand for appropriate equipment in the coming years will be stable and dynamic. "There is potential in the dairy industry and in the food industry as a whole - in bakery, flour industry, etc., it is very serious,’ he explained.

As previously reported, under a favorable scenario, Soyuzmoloko expects cheese production in Russia to grow by 10% in 2020 compared to 2019, to 574 thousand tons.
