Purchase prices for milk may collapse if it is not included in the system of veterinary certification - Dankvert
The Rosselkhoznadzor specified that it is about purchase prices. According to Dankvert, the free and uncontrolled circulation of dairy products within the framework of the Eurasian economic Union (EAEU), as well as the high level of milk falsification in the domestic market creates unfavorable conditions for the development of the dairy industry in the country. The situation is also aggravated by the lack of a clear control system on the part of the Rospotrebnadzor and the inability to trace the path of dairy products "from the field to the counter" in the system "Mercury". "Accordingly, without restoring order in the dairy market it is impossible to talk about fair competition", concluded Dankvert.
Since July 1, 2018, manufacturers of all animal products, except for milk, had to switch to electronic veterinary certificates in the "Mercury" system. The information system contains data about livestock products produced, transported and sold in Russia.
Until July 1, such products were accompanied by documents printed on paper. The Rosselkhoznadzor, the developer of the “Mercury” system, expects that it will allow tracking the whole route of products "from the field to the counter" and prevent the illegal import of food to the country for 1.4 trillion rubles per year.
Finished dairy products do not subject to electronic veterinary certification, it is planned to be replaced by the digital marking. The products containing in its composition less than half of products of animal origin, milk, or fish products (under the condition that the products have been heat treated to a complete change of the natural properties of the crude product) are also free from veterinary certification.
