Putin expects significant growth of agricultural production in Russia

Development of farm sector is a very important issue, said Vladimir Putin at the press-conference in Moscow. Russian President also stressed, that the country has additional financial assets to support the farmers if it becomes necessary in 2016.
“We should support not only big enterprises, but small farmers as well. They make a significant contribution to food safety assurance”, - said the President. According to his words, the government will implement all plans regarding agricultural sector support, including financial support.
Putin proposed to support those who plan to start business in farming industry, for instance, using tools of financial and tax regulation. He also added that Russian market has great opportunities for local producers since lot of foreign food suppliers have left it.
