Putin proposed to mitigate the pension reform
Putin proposed to raise the retirement age for women not to 63, but to 60 years old.
- In our country, the attitude to women is special, careful. We understand that they not only work at the main place of work, they usually have the whole house to look after, they take care of the family, raise children, worry about grandchildren. The retirement age for women should not be raised by more than for men, - said Vladimir Putin.
The draft law, which the government submitted to the State Duma in June, envisages that the retirement age will be increased gradually: for women — up to 63 years by 2034, for men - up to 65 years by 2028. The lower house of Parliament adopted the document in the first reading.
As the Head of state stressed, he always treated changes in the pension system with caution and distrust.
- We have to provide the right of early retirement for mothers with many children, - Putin emphasized. For mothers with five or more children, the Head of state proposed to keep retirement at the age of 50.
In addition, the President announced a number of proposals for preferential categories.
- We must provide additional guarantees to protect the interests of citizens of pre-retirement age. To do this, it is necessary to envisage a package of measures, including fines for refusing to hire citizens of pre - retirement age, - said Vladimir Putin, saying that he instructs the government to develop real incentives for hiring this category of citizens.
