Residents of Altai region ask the government to refuse to sell the dairy plant “Modest”
As Marina Kondratyuk writes in the accompanying text, the words of the Deputy Chairman of the regional government Ivan Kibardin that the state should not produce dairy products and compete with private business sound strange to her. Moreover, in her message, she appeals to the opinion of the President of the Russian Federation and openly distorts the words of the Altai Vice-Governor. "Despite the fact that Russian President Vladimir Putin pays special attention to demography and the health of the nation, Ivan Kibardin is conducting "explanatory" work with deputies of Altai regional Legislative Assembly, convincing them that healthy food for children is not needed, and the unique enterprise producing food for children, complementary foods, and foods for preschool and school-age children can be put up for sale", - says the author of the petition.
At the time of publication, the document was signed online by about 100 people. It is possible that it may become quite popular among the residents of Altai region, if they take the information specified in the petition on faith.
At the same time, it is worth reminding that under the terms of privatization, the buyer of a controlling stake will not be able to change the purpose of the object, that is, will have to produce dairy products, including baby food. However, these conditions apply only a year since the date of the transaction. Thus, at least for a year baby food produced at "Modest" can still be present on the shelves of stores.
It is also interesting that one of the founders of the company Gennady Bukhtoyarov expressed his arguments against the sale of "Modest". "It's the milk. Baby food requires the best raw materials. So, we decided that we should do our own supply. So, we need to work separately. Quality raw materials are the biggest problem in our industry. After examining the entire Barnaul zone, we found only four farms that could produce high-quality milk. We have established cooperation with them. But all of them, except the experimental training farm "Prigorodnoye", collapsed. Now "Modest" has the only supplier - the experimental training farm", - Bukhtoyarov explained. At the same time, public figures Konstantin Ganov and Tatiana Trufanova clarified that the main problem is the high incidence of leukemia in Altai cows. They fear that after the sale of "Modest" quality control may decrease, and agitate in social networks against privatization.
It should be noted that applications for the tender for the acquisition of 23,659 shares of "Modest" have been accepted since January 9. The initial price of the lot exceeds the amount of the authorized capital more than 2.5 times and is almost 63.7 million rubles. The results of the competition will be announced on February 12. According to the News Agency “Bankfax”, JSC Barnaulsky dairy plant (the brand “Molochnaya skazka”) may be interested in buying the enterprise, and “Modest” depends on its production engineering communications. Recently, the regional media confirmed this.
Just to remind: the intentions of the regional government to sell "Modest" became known to the News Agwncy "Bankfax" in April this year. Then Altaykrayimuschestvo sent deputies of the Altai legislative Assembly a bill to include the JSC in the privatization plan for 2018-2020. Initially, the majority of deputies, of all factions, were against the sale of the plant, but in September it became possible to convince them, releasing financial and production indicators, which indicate that the company is almost not developing.
