Revaz Yusupov: there is no increase in prices in any of the industries where labeling has been introduced
- As a rule, organizations and unions that are based on incorrect initial data enter the public field with such forecasts. Announced estimates of costs, which we sometimes hear in various industries, are overstated by dozens sometimes even hundreds of times, - commented Revaz Yusupov on today's statement Soyuzmoloko.
According to him, the dairy industry has already found a typographic solution for printing codes, which does not require the cost of equipping production lines with printing equipment, and solutions developed in other industries, including retail, relieve the burden of working with labeling for other links. In addition, at the request of the industry, a solution was found to integrate the labeling system with “Mercury” to avoid duplication of operations. Thanks to this, companies will be able to work with digital codes in their usual interface or on a combined web platform for both systems, - said Revaz Yusupov.
The CATD, as a partner of the state, creates a system of digital labeling and tracing for private funds and in accordance with the PPP (Public-private partnership) agreement.
On November 8, Dmitry Medvedev signed a government decree including finished dairy products in the list of mandatory labeling.

According to the text of the order, since December 1, 2020, the circulation of finished dairy products without labeling will be prohibited.
According to Soyuzmoloko, the innovation will require 25 billion rubles of capital expenditures for the purchase of equipment for labeling, as well as the annual cost of buying a code for each package of products at 20 billion rubles without VAT. At the same time, the share of falsified products (produced in violation of intellectual property rights, including trademarks) in the dairy market is 0.01% or several hundred million rubles. At the same time, the operator of the system has never presented calculations on the complex costs and potential benefits of the state.
