RF Ministry of Agriculture proposes to limit state procurement if imported milk and meat

The draft regulation limits the access of some imported products in the course of state procurement.
The list of products includes fish and fish products, meat, milk and dairy products, rice, sugar and salt. These products are produced in Russia and Eurasian Economic Union countries in sufficient volumes and are not behind the imported analogues in quality, explained in the RF Ministry of Agriculture.
The document is designed for import substitution motivation and creation of favourable conditions for producers of food in Russia. The project is also a step towards implementation of concept development of domestic food assistance. Ministry of Agriculture is responsible for the latter. This was said by Vladimir Volik, Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation.
