"Romir": the average receipt of the Russians for one visit to the store decreases for the fifth month in a row
"In August, the index of average receipt amounted to 495 rubles. Compared to July its value decreased by another 1 ruble, or by 0.2%. It should be noted that the average costs of the residents of the country for one visit to the store have decreased for the fifth month in a row since April", noted in the study. Compared to the indicator in August 2017 (518 rubles), the average receipt decreased by 4.4%.
The average receipt in August compared to July decreased the most in the North Caucasus Federal district - by 9.7% to 615 rubles. In Central Russia, the indicator fell by 3.7% (to 577 rubles), in Siberia - by 2.7% (to 398 rubles). In other Federal districts, the receipt increased: in the Far East - by 10.6% to 489 rubles, in the Urals - by 8% to 471 rubles, in the South - by 3.8% to 439 rubles.
In the Volga Federal district, the indicator increased by 2.9% to 427 rubles, in the North-West - by 1.2% to 571 rubles. In Moscow the average receipt decreased by 0.7% compared to July to 672 rubles (in annual terms – by 2.6%), in St. Petersburg it grew by 1.9% to 648 rubles (in annual terms it fell by 4.4%).
The average receipt in hypermarkets of the Russian Federation in August compared to July increased by 2.3% to 758 rubles (compared to August 2017 it decreased by 7.8%). In supermarkets, the receipt decreased by 1.6% to 343 rubles (in annual terms - by 4.5%), in discounters - by 2.6% to 331 rubles (in annual terms - by 9.3%), in small shops of traditional trade the indicator decreased by 2.1%, to 231 rubles (in annual terms - by 2.1%).
The study of "Romir" is based on the data of consumption of 40 thousand Russians, 15 thousand households in 220 cities of the country. Research participants scan barcodes of all purchased goods brought home. Scanned data is entered into the research database in online mode.
