ROMIR: The average receipt reached its lowest level in two years

In July, the Index of average receipt amounted to 496 rubles. The value continued to decline, which has been shown for the fourth month in a row. Compared to June, the value decreased by 3.3% or by 17 rubles in monetary terms, according to the report of the analytical holding ROMIR, quoted by The DairyNews.

Compared to the value of last year, the figure decreased by 1.4% or by 7 rubles. Analysts emphasize that there was not such a small average receipt for more than 2 years – since March 2016.

Of all Federal districts the average receipt in July grew only in one district – in the North Caucasus. The increase of the Index was 92 rubles or more than 15%. In all the rest districts, the value fell.

In the Southern Federal district, the average receipt was 423 rubles (a decrease of 7.6%), in the Far East – 442 rubles (a decrease of 7.5%), in the North-West – 564 rubles (a decrease of 7.4%). In other regions, the drop in the Index was less significant. In the Siberian Federal district, the average receipt was 409 rubles (a decrease of 4.0%), in the Volga region – 415 rubles (a decrease of 3.7%). In the Ural Federal district, the Index stopped at the value of 436 rubles (a decrease of 1.8%), in the Central district the changes were minimal – 599 rubles (a decrease of 0.3%).

In Moscow the Index of average receipt changed slightly to 677 rubles (a decrease of 1.2%). A sharp drop in the value was observed in St. Petersburg – over there the cost of one visit to the stop in July amounted to 636 rubles (a decrease of 7%).

In other cities with population of one million and more the average receipt decreased by 3% during the month. The Index fell the most in cities with a population of 500 thousand to 1 million - by 7.3%. In cities with less than half a million inhabitants, the average receipt decreased by only 0.7%.

Among the different types of outlets, only traditional stores managed to increase the average receipt. However, the minimal growth was 4 rubles - up to 236 rubles (+1.7%). In other retail outlets, the values went down. There was a bigger decrease in hypermarkets - here the average receipt in July was 741 rubles (a drop of 9%). The average receipt at supermarkets was 347 rubles (a decrease of 4.8%), at discounters – 340 rubles (a decrease of 3.4%).
