Rospotrebnadzor lifts total control over Ukrainian cheese
The Federal Service for Supervision of Consumer Rights Protection and Human Welfare (Rospotrebnadzor) lifts control over each batch of Ukrainian cheese imported into the Russian Federation. This is according to the Rospotrebnadzor press service information.
Rospotrebnadzor will continue controlling the quality of cheese made in Ukraine within the frames of control-supervisory measures for the designated products, chosen from circulation.
In February 2012 Russia banned cheese import from several Ukrainian plants because Russian technical regulations for milk and dairy products were violated.
In 2012 and from the beginning of 2013 the laboratory of the Rospotrebnadzor's Center of Hygiene and Epidemiology in Moscow has studied over 1260 samples of different batches of Ukrainian cheese.
