Rosselkhozbank failed to withdraw the case on disputed contracts with Ekoniva from the Voronezh court

We remind that the Arbitration Court of Voronezh region is considering the claim of the head of Ekoniva Group Stefan Durr, the parent company from Germany Ekosem Agrar, Ekosem Schwarzerde and Elena Levina. The plaintiffs demand to terminate the unprofitable options that allow Rosselkhozbank to buy out the shares of the group's legal entities at a nominal value of 5.3 million rubles.

At the request of the plaintiffs, the court also introduced interim measures before the decision on the present case came into force. Rosselkhozbank tried to cancel them, but the court refused to do so. Now the bank has made a second attempt to do this and filed an appeal to a higher court.

Earlier, it was reported that Ekoniva is experiencing financial difficulties against the background of high debt to banks and counterparties. One of the largest creditors of Ekoniva is Rosselkhozbank. It was also reported that the company stopped investing in the construction of new facilities and announced staff reductions as part of optimization. However, Stefan Dürr denied financial problems and the search for an investor to solve them. He noted that investments are needed in order to continue developing milk processing in Voronezh region and to build new livestock complexes in 2022. The businessman declared his readiness to sell 30-50% of the shares of the parent company. After the media drew attention to the dispute between Ekoniva and the bank, Ekosem Agrar issued a message that the company is considering the possibility of temporary majority ownership of shares in Russian companies by the main lender, Rosselkhozbank.
