Rosselkhoznadzor to check Dutch system of dairy products control
Specialists from Russia's state veterinary service Rosselkhoznadzor plan to visit Netherlands to conduct additional inspection of the country’s system of dairy products control.
According to Russian veterinary service’s head Sergey Dankvert, the existing system does not correspond to the requirements submitted by Russia and Customs Union’s countries in general to the quality of imported products.
The main problem Rosselkhoznadzor sees in the existing system is the fact that the destined for export produce is certified by the Controlling Authority for Milk and Milk Products (COKZ) and the veterinary certificates are signed by another authority – by the National Veterinary Service (NVWA). By the way S.Dankvert considers the way Dutch colleagues fulfill their controlling functions to be very formal: only 3% of farms are checked annually in the country.
