Rosselkhoznadzor will file a lawsuit against those who accused Dankvert of extortion
Earlier, the media reported that a representative of the Polish dairy producer "Mlekovita" accused Dankvert of allegedly extorting a bribe of 500 thousand dollars. In "Mlekovita" denied these claims to RIA Novosti, and said that they are not familiar with the Head of the Rosselkhoznadzor and never met him.
"The Federal service for veterinary and phytosanitary surveillance reports that the information that appeared in a number of media outlets about the alleged extortion by the Rosselkhoznadzor management from a certain Polish company "Mlekovita" does not correspond to reality", Melano said.
"The Rosselkhoznadzor informs that similar complaints from a certain citizen Ya.V. Sergeev were previously received by the Prosecutor General's office of the Russian Federation. In this regard, the Rosselkhoznadzor provided appropriate explanations to all the questions raised", she added. The adviser to the head of the Department noted that in the previous appeal Sergeyev indicated the amount of 5 million dollars, and in the media information that appeared on Thursday, the amount fell to 500 thousand dollars.
"In connection with the reputational damage that led to the discrediting of state authorities, as well as the dissemination of deliberately false information, the Rosselkhoznadzor decided to file a statement of claim against the people who appeared in the appeal to the Prosecutor General's office, namely Ya.V. Sergeev and N.V. Esenevsky", Melano continued.
She noted that talks about resuming the supply of products from enterprises located in countries that have fallen under counter-sanctions (Poland is one of these countries) are not appropriate since 2014. "Then Russia imposed food embargo. The measures were taken by the country's leadership, not by the Rosselkhoznadzor. Undoubtedly, such statements in the media are intended to cause reputational damage to the head of the Rosselkhoznadzor", added the adviser to the head of the Department.
The media also reported on the participation in extortion of a certain "lawyer Suzdaltsev". "The person surnamed Suzdaltsev has not been on public service in the Rosselkhoznadzor. In addition, the person surnamed Suzdaltsev has never represented the interests of the Rosselkhoznadzor and its employees, so claims of extortion (if any) should be made only to this person, without linking his actions with the Rosselkhoznadzor as a whole", Melano said.
