Ruslan Khamitov: additional costs for labeling at the Chishminsky plant will amount to 15 million rubles
‘In my opinion, the labeling of dairy products is not necessary for the industry. Personally, I am not against traceability, but we already have Mercury, and labeling involves the cost of very expensive equipment. For our plant, additional expenses related to labeling equipment amount to about 15 million rubles. This is the equipment for all our lines. In addition, we will have to pay for QR codes, we will need a camera with a reader, and a whole staff department to work with the equipment. In the end, the buyer will pay for everything,’ said Ruslan Khamitov.
Earlier, the Ministry of industry and trade proposed to approve new terms for the introduction of mandatory labeling of dairy products before the end of the pilot experiment. We will remind that the labeling experiment lasts until the end of December 2020.
