Ruslan Sagitov: the plant “Beloe ozero” participates in a labeling pilot project to show how bad it will be for small businesses

The expert noticed that the measurements for the experiment have already passed. The plant Beloe ozero does not have special equipment for digital marking, since the company has chosen the method of printing.

Ruslan Sagitov said that he would be happy with postponement of the mandatory digital marking to May or its final cancellation. Earlier we wrote that the start of mandatory labeling in the "Honest sign" system can take place only in May 2021.

The Director of LLC Step (the dairy plant Beloe ozero) said that the plant is one of the companies that are conducting a pilot experiment on the introduction of digital labeling, the results of which form conclusions about its feasibility. The expert noted that the dates of mandatory introduction of labeling are approved without relying on the results of the pilot project, that is, even before its end. Therefore, enterprises still do not understand whether the results of the experiment are important, and what will happen in this regard in production.

Ruslan Sagitov noted that the dairy plant Beloe ozero is a small enterprise, so its management does not need to install special equipment for digital labeling, so from a technical point of view, the project implementation is quite simple.

- Of course, we can install special equipment, but it will cost much more. It is cheaper for us to use manual labor, it is easier to implement it, since there are not so many one-time costs. However, we have doubled the number of people in the packaging and logistics, because of this, our fixed costs increase, - said Ruslan Sagitov.

According to the head of the company, participation in the pilot, which will last until the end of December 2020, was voluntary.

- In March, I was at a meeting of the Ministry of agriculture in Moscow, and there everyone could apply for this experiment, which I did. I decided to participate in order to understand the process better and to show that labeling can simply destroy a business, especially a small one. The main reason for my participation in this experiment is to show how bad it will be for small businesses, said Ruslan Sagitov.

According to the expert, during the implementation of labeling, technical problems periodically arise, but for now, they are attributed to the fact that the technology is being developed. On the other hand, the Director of LLC Step (the dairy plant Beloe ozero) noted that the latest news shows that drug manufacturers have problems with supplies due to the introduction of mandatory digital labeling.

- We deliver perishable products on a daily basis, so it is hard to imagine what problems we will have. Medicines have a long shelf life, so this product can be delivered with a stock. We deliver our own products every day. In other words, the main problem with labeling is that due to the short shelf life of our products, if we do not have time to arrange everything today, then tomorrow no one will buy anything from us. Therefore, we will have to do all the paperwork at night to arrange everything before morning. Moreover, if there is any failure, it will result in the fact that the product will have to be disposed of, - said Ruslan Sagitov.

The expert noted that now they want to stretch the introduction of labeling, dividing it into three stages. First, you just need to label the product, then - provide the number of brands, and at the third stage - specify which brand is sent to which store.

- In terms of costs, when we reach the last stage, before the third year of implementation, I did not calculate the interim rent, but I assume that we will raise the price by at least 10%, because we will increase the cost price, - concluded Ruslan Sagitov.
