“Rusmolco” has opened the first stage of a dairy complex for 5200 dairy cattle in Penza region

“Russkaya molochnaya companya (Russian dairy company)” (a subsidiary of Olam International, Singapore), one of the largest producers of premium milk in Russia, has commissioned the first stage of a closed-cycle dairy complex for 5,200 head of dairy herd in Serdobsk district of Penza region. The complex is being built as part of an investment program worth 4.5 billion rubles, launched by “Rusmolco” in the summer of 2019. Financial partner is the "Rosselkhozbank". 

The ceremony was attended by Dmitry Butusov, Director of the Department of animal husbandry and breeding of the Ministry of agriculture of the Russian Federation, Ivan Belozertsev, Governor of Penza region, and Sumanta Kumar De, General Director of the “Russkaya molochnaya companya (Russian dairy company)”. Among the guests of the event are representatives of the government and Legislative Assembly of the region , representatives of Olam International and JSC "Rosselkhozbank", administration of Serdobsk district, equipment suppliers, builders and employees of "Rusmolco". 

The complex for 5200 heads consists of 7 barns, 4 calves, a milking and dairy block with 2 rotary milking parlours. The complex has a feed storage facility and silage pits for storing roughage stock, as well as other infrastructure that ensures the vital activity of the complex.

To date, the total number of cattle in the complex is 5,000, the daily milk yield is about 40 tons of raw milk, and the company employs 197 people.

The new dairy complex is an example of introducing new technologies. All production processes are integrated into a single IT system that allows continuous monitoring over all types of technological work and animals. An innovative system of preparation for milking allows you to improve the milk yield of animals. There are robots in the barns that ensure the availability of the feed mixture on the feed table.

Special attention is paid to the conditions of housing and raising animals: a modern system of ventilation introduced improved arrangement of stalls in barns, increased feeding in the sections for dairy cattle.

There is also introduced an innovative system for raising calves from birth to 2 months, which provides the use of automated systems for feeding, weighing and monitoring the health of calves.

The system of processing animal waste products is introduced at the complex of “Rusmolco”, the company meets the highest standards of respect for the surrounding environment. There are no industrial effluents on the farm and energy-saving technologies are used.
