“Rusmolco” increased milk production by 38% in the first quarter of 2020
“Russkaya molochnaya compania (Russian dairy company)” (a subsidiary of “Olam international”) increased its gross milk yield by 38% in the first quarter of 2020 compared to the same period last year. In three months, the company produced 28,000 tons of milk.
The increase in production volumes is due to the expansion of production capacity of “Rusmolco”. In March of this year the company opened the first stage of the dairy complex for 5 200 cows in Serdobsk district of Penza region, besides "Rusmolco" has expanded the dairy complex for 4600 cows in Nizhny Lomov district and complex for 3600 cows in Narovchat district, which contributed to the growth of the cattle population.
The specialists of the company are continuously working to increase the productivity of animals by improving the feeding program, housing conditions and using the latest technologies and advanced world achievements in the field of animal husbandry.
“Rusmolco” is one of the leaders of the dairy industry in the country and the largest producer of raw milk in Penza region. The company shows continuous dynamics of development: dairy complexes are being built; the number of cattle is increasing; today the total number of cattle is over 25,000, of which 10,500 are forage-fed cows. The yield per forage-fed cow for the first quarter of 2020 was 2,780 kg, which is 297 kg more than last year. This indicator is comparable to the best practices of Western farms.
