Russia and Singapore have agreed on veterinary certificates for export of dairy products to the Asian republic

This was announced by Alexander Svinin, the trade representative of the Russian Federation in this country, at the opening of the business mission of Russian companies exporting agricultural products with the Republic of Singapore organized by the Federal State Budgetary Institution Agroexport.

‘In the first half of 2021, the entry of Russian dairy products into the Singapore market was agreed, which was done for the first time in the history of trade relations between our countries,’ the speaker stressed. ‘The Rosselkhoznadzor of the Russian Federation and the relevant agency of the republic have agreed on veterinary certificates. Today, the first domestic dairy production companies have already received certificates and are preparing for deliveries to the market of Singapore and Southeast Asia.

Also, as an example of mutual cooperation, the sales representative spoke about the first major delivery of confectionery products to the Singapore market by the Russian company United Confectioner. According to him, in the next few weeks the company will send the next batch of goods there.

‘We also have a great growth potential in the field of agriculture and Agrotech, so the technologies of Russian companies can be in demand not only in the Singapore market, but also in Southeast Asia,’ the speaker said. ‘The first such project is currently being discussed together with colleagues in the government of Singapore, and we hope that we will be able to announce its launch this year.’

The Trade Representative expressed hope for the development of relations in the agricultural sector, specifying that for the first time in three years, the trade turnover of non-energy products between Russia and Singapore showed an increase of more than 16% over the past three years.
