Russia bans Ukrainian milk from July, 28th
Starting from July, 28th Russia bans all dairy supplies from Ukraine, including cheese. According to a Rosselkhoznadzor representative, the embargo is issued because the majority of Ukrainian dairy products do not meet certification standards. Particularly, the ban was imposed due to the detection of tetracycline group antibiotics.
At the moment 10 Ukrainian exporters are included into the registry of suppliers. Other exporters (they are 27 in total) were banned earlier. In the beginning of July Russia imposed a ban on milk and dairy products produced at Milkiland-Ukraine factories; in April 6 Ukrainian cheese producers were banned; under restriction also fell companies Ros, Akhtyrsky Syrkombinat’s subdivision, Piryatinsky Syrkombinat, Gadyachsyr, Zolotonoshsky Maslodelny Kombinat, Tekhmolprom.
