Russia can do without dairy interventions in 2017, - Khatuov

Vice Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Arkady Dvorkovich in the middle of November stated that the government supports dairy interventions in 2017. Initially, the Ministry of agriculture planned to start interventions on the market of milk in 2016. The Government was suggested to conduct them in nine regions of the Russian Federation with the highest seasonality in the production of raw milk.

"We do not exclude the possibility that our joint work next year will allow effective using of state support measures; we may do without the interventions, we have a ready mechanism for this. Because timely and well-coordinated work and activities conducted by the state reserve will allow to remove the tension from the milk processors in 15 regions of the Russian Federation," said Deputy Minister of agriculture of the Russian Federation Dzhambulat Khatuov at a round table meeting on support of the dairy industry, which takes place in the State Duma.
