Russia increased dairy products output in 2015 by 0.2%

Cheese and cheese products output in 2015 in Russia reached 581 thousand tons, what is 17.1% more compared to the level of 2014. Overall output of dairy products in January – December 2015 in Russia increased by 0.2%.
In 2015 Russian enterprises increased production of liquid processed milk by 0.4% to 5.4 mln tons. In December production of liquid processed milk grew by 4.9% compared to November 2015 and by 3.9% compared to December 2014.
Kefir production in 2015 decreased in 2015 by 1.8% to 1.1 mln tons. Production of milk and cream in solid forms dropped by 15.2% in 2015 and reached 127 thousand tons. Production of butter reached 259 thousand tons (+2.9% vs 2014), production of cottage cheese totaled 413 thousand tons (+7%).
