Russia increased import of dairy products by 6%
During the period from January to September 2013 Russian Federation has increased import of main types of dairy products on milk basis by 6.2% compared to the same period of the previous year.
During the period from January to September 2013 Russian Federation has increased import of main types of dairy products on milk basis by 6.2% compared to the same period of the previous year. Imports reached 5.561 mln tons according to data from Federal Customs Service.
Without trade with Belarus and Kazakhstan import of butter increased by 28.6% to 53 thousand tons as per October 9. Import of dried milk grew 1.5 times to 31.6 thousand tons, cheese – by 5% to 274.6 thousand tons. Commercial production of whole-milk products on milk basis during January-August 2013 period increased 3.4% to 7.886 mln tons.
