Food embargo imposed by the Russian government didn’t cut the number of dairy products suppliers to the retailers’ stores.
“Some suppliers who worked mostly with imported products decreased their share in our product range, but they managed to find local partners in a short time, and as a result we didn’t stop working with them. As for the categories – the most vulnerable after embargo turned out to be yoghurts and curds. In these categories we had quite a big share of import including our own brand which we imported from France”, - said in METRO Cash&Carry press-service.
At the moment the company continues searching for new suppliers, one of the most attractive fields of cooperation – farmers’ products.
