Russia is currently providing its domestic milk needs by 76.9% what is 13.1% lower than set by the Food Safety Doctrine.
Russia is currently providing its domestic milk needs by 76.9% what is 13.1% lower than set by the Food Safety Doctrine. Meat and meat products production is enough to provide 77.3%, 7.7% below the Doctrine’s index, but 2.5% higher than in 2012. The government believes Russia has a huge potential to grow on the market of agricultural supplies. As a WTO member the country assumed obligations to cut governmental support of the agricultural sector within the “yellow basket” to the level of 9 bln dollars for the period including 2013 year and to reduce it gradually to 4.4 bln dollars by 2018.
