Russia reduced exports of cheese and cottage cheese

This was reported by the analytical center of the Ministry of agriculture of Russia, writes The DairyNews. In particular, as of August 19, 2018, the export of cheese and cottage cheese by FEACN 0406 amounted to 356,809 tons in the amount of 957,03 thousand US dollars, which is 19.1% of the export volume in January or 86.7% to July 2018.
As a part of export, the share of the top 5 regions (Moscow, Rostov, Samara, Ivanovo regions and Krasnodar Krai) is 92.9% in absolute numbers of export according to the data for August, which is 22.7% more than at the beginning of the year.
According to the report of the analytical center, the main reason for the decline of export was the reduction of import of dairy products by the partner countries of the Russian Federation. For example, the volume of export to Kazakhstan decreased by 20.85% from January to June, and in July and August fell to zero.
