Russia’s cheese and cottage cheese import dropped almost twice

During the period from January to September 2015 Russia imported 143 thousand of cheese and cottage cheese. This is 44.6% lower compared to the same period of 2014.
Import of milk and concentrated cream reached 185 thousand tons, according to Rosstat data. The country also imported 145 thousand tons of milk and concentrated cream (+5%), where import of milk and cream powder totaled 100 thousand tons (+10.5%). Import of palm oil during the period under consideration grew by 31.7% and exceeded 600 thousand tons.
