Russia may restrict import of fruit and vegetables from Switzerland if the country doesn’t submit information about the amount of fruit and vegetables it produces until December 5th.
Russia may restrict import of fruit and vegetables from Switzerland if the country doesn’t submit information about the amount of fruit and vegetables it produces until December 5th. Import of apples from this country to Russia after the food embargo increased by 400 times. Rosselkhoznadzor also checks cheese suppliers though sharp increase in exports wasn’t detected.
According to Federal Customs Service data, in 2013 Russia imported from Switzerland around 1 ton of apples, in August 2014 – 55 tons, in September 2014 – 346 tons. In 2013 our country imported from Switzerland around 461 tons of cheese and curd, in September 2014 import of these products reached 163 tons.
