Russia: The most antibiotics are found in dairy products

Russian consumer protection agency Rospotrebnadzor tests up to 20 thousand samples of food for antibiotics annually - dairy products contain the most of them.
During the last 10 years specific density of antibiotics in products decreased from 1.5% to 0.5%, their maximum content is registered in milk and dairy products (up to 1.1%), lowest – in infant food (below 0.1%).
By 2050 annual mortality rate due to antibiotics will reach 4,730 thousand people in Asia Region, 4,150 thousand people in Africa, 390 thousand people in Europe, 392 thousand people in South America, 312 thousand people in North America, forecast in World Health Organization (WHO). Overall GDP losses will total 8% or $100 tn.
