Russian Ag. Ministry: 219 new dairy farms and units provided milk production increase by 234 thousand tons

Under the sub-programme “Development of dairy cattle breeding sector” 219 new dairy farms and units were built, reconstructed, modernized and put into operation. As a result milk production increased by 234 thousand tons.
For 2015 and planning period 2016 and 2017 11,259.84 million rubles from federal budget resources are anticipated to implement the sub-programme activities. Along with that actual funding of the sub-programme reached 10,468.76 million rubles.
In the current financial and economic conditions combination of all measures of government support is reasonable, it promotes inflow of investments into the sector, fast import substitution, increase of competitiveness of Russian agricultural products, growth of farm products production and financial stability of local farmers, follows from the ministry’s commentary.
