Russian farmers against of mandatory fee for trucks over 12 tons

Starting from November, 15th a mandatory fee for trucks with maximum authorized mass over 12 tons is imposed.
The fee refers to federal roads and comes to 3.73 rubles per kilometer. The new regulation will cause one more agricultural products price increase, say the experts.
Transportation of agricultural products and food is implemented by heavy-lift transport. Shift to another kind of transport is almost impossible due to lack of necessary logistics infrastructure and limited delivery periods, they add.
The dairy sector’s additional expenses may total up to 500-600 bln rubles per year in case the tax comes to force.
