Russian State Duma suspects largest dairy processors of monopoly deal
State Duma Committee on Agriculture in cooperation with Ministry of Agriculture and milk producers is ready to work out a “roadmap” to support country’s dairy industry.
State Duma Committee on Agriculture in cooperation with Ministry of Agriculture and milk producers is ready to work out a “roadmap” to support country’s dairy industry. This was said by Nadezhda Shkolkina, Committee’s Deputy Chairman.
The current situation requires changes: producers complain about low purchase prices and processors’ pressure on them, processors – about milk deficiency, consumers – about milk and dairy products price increase. It is planned to arrange a petition to Federal Anti-Monopoly Service with a request to test the largest processors with a view to monopoly deal – whether the purchase price is lower than the production cost or not.
