Sergey Lyashko: the rising cost of soy and corn will push up the price of milk
According to Sergey Lyashko, the increase in the cost of dairy products in the conditions of rising prices for animal feed is inevitable.
‘The increase in the cost of corn and soy should push the cost of raw milk up, as the cost of the product increases significantly. This, by the way, applies not only to corn and soybeans: rapeseed and sunflower meal have risen in price. Part of the diet for dairy production, which is, corn, silage and grass haylage will also cost more. Consequently, milk producers will raise prices for their products,’ said the first Deputy General Director of EkoNiva-APK holding to The DairyNews.
Earlier, The DairyNews reported that the Dairy Index DIA increased by 1.5% to 28.25 rubles/kg.
