On September 5, there was held a press-tour to the company “Sibirskaya Niva” (Novosibirsk region, Maslyanio district), during which the Chairman of the Board of SOYUZMOLOKO Andrey Danilenko and the President of group of companies "EkoNiva" Stefan Duerr discussed the prospects of development of the enterprise, expansion of production and processing of milk.
During a press tour to the company "Sibirskaya Niva" the President of group of companies "EkoNiva" Stefan Duerr told reporters that the planned increase of milk production will not affect the local market, along with new farms the company is building a cheese plant with capacity of 600 tons of milk per day. Its products will be sold in other regions of Russia and abroad.

The guests were shown how the investment project aimed at expanding the current livestock breeding complex from 1 800 to 5 000 heads is being implemented in the village Penkovo, and a livestock complex for 2 500 animals in the village Borkovo, where there is a large milking parlor "carousel" designed for milking 72 cows per time.

In addition, “Sibirskaya Niva” plans to begin construction of a livestock breeding complex for 6 000 heads in the village Elban.

Now, "Sibirskaya Niva" produces 120 tons of milk per day, in the near future the production volume will increase to 220 tons per day.

To the question of journalists, whether a significant increase in the production of raw materials can bring down prices in the local market of milk, Stefan Duerr replied negatively.

– This could happen if we produced only milk. But we create our own processing facilities to produce cheese, which we plan to deliver not only to Russian but also to European market and to Asia, said Stefan Duerr. – Cheese can be made here with a good cost, and I'm sure it will be in demand."

The company plans to put into operation a cheese factory with capacity of 600 tons of milk per day, which will produce up to 60 tons of cheese per day. These products will be sold in Russian regions and delivered abroad. Cheeses will be produced under own brand and under trademarks.

– I am not naïve to think that we will be able to sell 20 thousand tons of cheese per year only under our own brand, – commented Mr. Duerr.

The Chairman of the Board of SOYUZMOLOKO Andrey Danilenko noted that in Russia in general there is a shortage of milk and dairy products, which means that all new capacities will be needed by the consumer.

– Russia is not self-sufficient in raw milk, and the amount that “EkoNiva” will produce – and it works in different regions of the country – will not cover a substantial part of this deficit. There can’t be any competition for raw milk by definition. The more it will be – the better for the population, the more accessible it is, - said Danilenko. And one more thing - before the revolution our country was an exporter of dairy products, our goal is not only to provide for ourselves but to focus on exports. Cheese is a serious export product.

According to experts of SOYUZMOLOKO, the launch of new production in agriculture will lead to the creation up to 10 times more jobs in interconnected spheres of production.

– For me, the appearance of the company of Federal importance on the territory of Novosibirsk region is a sign of investment attractiveness of the region. Regions struggle to attract Federal players to come and invest in the territory. It is, first and foremost, assessment of management activity, – said the head of Maslyanino district Vyacheslav Armanov who took part in the event. – The increase of production, the establishment of processing facilities leads to the growth of the tax base. New jobs mean the development of the territory, moving forward. Now 600 residents of Maslyanino are employed in “Sibirskaya Niva”, the implementation of all plans of the company will provide jobs for 1.5 thousand people.

“Sibirskaya Niva” is a part of group of companies "EkoNiva" and has been working in Novosibirsk region since 2006. It is specialized on milk production; it is also engaged in beef cattle breeding, pedigree cattle breeding, plant growing and seed production. The farmland area is 55 000 hectares. The total population of cattle is 12 372 heads, including 5 333 forage-fed cows.
