Souzmoloko and RSPMO blame each other for industry’s decline
Improper activities of the Department of Animal Husbandry and Breeding at Russian Ministry of Agriculture have led to dairy industry reduction, said Ayrat Hayrullin, Souzmoloko President, at Union’s Congress last week. According to his words, commercial milk production in Russia decreased by 10%, as a result – the union records dairy products supply withdraw.
Commenting the situation, Naum Babaev, Damate's founder and Board Chairman, said, that current raw milk production in Russia totals 18 mln tons. “If the situation in the sector doesn’t change, we will get 15 mln tons milk deficiency in a short time”, - he stated.
Arkady Ponomaryov, State Duma Deputy and RSPMO Chairman, considers it necessary to speak about sector’s unions alliance. Taking into consideration the current situation of the Russian dairy sector – only Souzmoloko and RSPMO alliance can save it, only together it is possible to solve many questions, believes the expert.
