"Soyuzmoloko" does not expect problems with the supply of milk and changes in its cost since November 1
Since July 2018, Russian producers prepare electronic veterinary certificates (EVC) for livestock products in the "Mercury" system. For a number of products, this requirement has been postponed. Since July 1, 2019, it became mandatory to issue EVC for all finished livestock products, except for drinking milk, fermented dairy products in consumer packaging and ice cream - they will be included into the "Mercury" system since November 1.
"The Ministry of agriculture has established a working group on the organization of traceability of dairy products in the framework of the distribution of the component FSIS "Mercury", which includes representatives of more than 20 companies. Within the framework of the working group meetings, there are resolved organizational and technical issues, as well as mechanisms for carrying out load tests", told in “Soyuzmoloko”.
"At the moment, it is not planned to apply for a postponement of the implementation, we do not predict difficulties with the supply of dairy products and any changes in the cost since November 1", added in the press service.
The Union notes that market participants are fully prepared for November 1, when the entire range of finished dairy products will be controlled by veterinary certification. At the same time, the introduction of "Mercury" has become a serious challenge for the industry in terms of integration of IT solutions, hiring additional personnel, restructuring of a number of internal processes.
"Despite the fact that not all issues regarding “Mercury” are currently fully resolved - both in terms of regulatory support and in terms of technical functionality - we are working productively with the Rosselkhoznadzor and the Ministry of agriculture to consistently resolve emerging issues and find solutions", reported in “Soyuzmoloko”.
