Soyuzmoloko: the total cost of the dairy industry for the introduction of labeling will amount to 45 billion rubles
According to estimates of Soyuzmoloko one-time costs of the industry on the introduction of labeling amount to 25 billion rubles, the annual costs of the industry are 20 billion rubles + 20% VAT. Thus, total costs will amount to 45 billion rubles, while the total profit of the industry is 35 billion rubles.
Lubomir Panov noted that in such circumstances there are doubts about the need to introduce labeling.
He stressed that the market has a traceability system already, "Mercury", although the results of the system to detect falsified products are not clear yet.
Deputy Head of the Rosselkhoznadzor Nikolay Vlasov said in response that it is too early to expect serious results, but now it can be noted that according to preliminary data of the service for six months the number of falsified products has decreased, there are less falsified products.
According to estimates of Soyuzmoloko, the volume of falsified products in the dairy market is only 0.01%, this is due to objective market conditions, when brands do not play a significant role for consumers. The volume of falsification in the dairy market is 4.5%.
