Soyuzmoloko: this year the increase in the production of commercial milk will not exceed 200 thousand tons
‘This year we do not expect a serious increase in the production of commercial milk. And due to the fact that the key factor this year is the decline in profitability, productivity and the accelerating decline in the number of cows, there will also be no serious increase next year (as it was in 2020-2019). This year, the increase in commodity production will not exceed 1%, no more than 150-200 thousand tons,’ Alexey Voronin said.
The expert added that next year the production of commercial milk will increase a little more, but it will be difficult to call this growth significant.
Earlier, Alexey Voronin noted that this year in every fourth region from among the largest milk producers there is a decrease in the productivity of dairy farming.
