State Duma plans to up federal budget spending for farming sector by 68.6 bln rubles in 2014
According to Nadezhda Shkolkina of United Russia, in 2014 160 bln rubles is planned to allocate for agricultural sector. In case additional funding equal to 68.6 bln rubles is approved, it will be partially (15 bln rubles) directed for interest rates compensation. This step could give the investors an opportunity to finish their projects.
5.1 bln rubles is planned to allocate for “indirect support” of livestock farmers – for subsidies per unit of products manufactured with reference to feed prices increase. 9 bln rubles will be allocated for subsidies per liter of commercial milk. As a result an average subsidy rate in 2014 for milk of Extra and I Class will be increased to 2.8 (against 1.4 rubles) and 0.86 (0.43) rubles respectively.
10 bln rubles is offered to allocate for crop farmers “indirect support”, 15 bln rubles – for technical and technological modernization subsidies compensation, 9 bln rubles – for the Federal Target Program “Sustainable development of rural areas 2014-2017”, 2 bln rubles – for Federal Target Program “Soil improvement of agricultural lands 2014 – 2020”, 1.5 bln rubles – for anti-epizootic activities.
