Stefan Durr: the goal of “EkoNiva” is to process all milk produced by the company
Durr stressed that the holding began processing in 2012, even before the embargo was introduced. Before that, the idea of processing had been in mind for a long time. When a company produces such a volume of milk as “EkoNiva”, you can't help thinking about what to do with it, explained the founder of one of the largest milk producers in Russia.
Processing for “EkoNiva” is a logical step, said Stefan Durr.
- Our goal is to process all the milk we produce. We believe that we can add value to our milk if we process it ourselves and create truly natural, high - quality dairy products that will return a good image to milk", he stressed.
Stefan Duerr also answered the question about the future of the company "Mosmedynagroprom" earlier purchased by the holding.
Currently, the production site is being modernized. Initially, “Mosmedynagroprom” was designed for production of ultra-pasteurized dairy products. It made 90% of the total processing volume.
- Now we convert the plant for the production of pasteurized products of traditional assortment — milk, fermented dairy products, cottage cheese, drinkable yogurt. We are thinking about the production of spoon yogurt. We are installing a bottling line in PET bottle, a new packaging line in the packaging Pure-Pak. We are also engaged in the re-equipment of warehouses. We plan to release the first batch of products in mid-October. After the modernization the capacity of the plant will be 300 tons of milk per day,-said Mr. Durr.
Earlier it was reported that “EkoNiva” is going to build a cheese factory in Novosibirsk region.
In addition, the holding will cooperate with the company "Valaam products" in the production of dairy products under the new brand "Valaam".
According to the Russian Dairy Research Center, the total production of raw milk by enterprises of “EkoNiva” in 2017 amounted to about 340 thousand tons. The volume of processing is 37.2 thousand tons. It is worth noting that the subsidiary enterprises of “EkoNiva” are in the rating of top 50 enterprises-producers of milk, prepared by RDRC, the leader of the rating is "EkoNiva-Agro" from Voronezh region.
