Tetra Pak: cheese is promising as an ingredient
- We see that sales of cheese, as well as other traditional dairy products, increased in the first half of the year. Due to the situation, consumers began to cook and eat at home more often. There is a growing interest in the expanding range of high-quality cheeses produced by Russian producers, while the consumption of cheese products is slowing down. A decrease in household income may stimulate to some extent demand for products of a lower price segment. The cheese supply to HoReCa suffered during the restrictions, and the recovery of this segment will depend on many economic factors. In general, this channel is seen as promising in terms of the presence of cheese as an ingredient in it, - emphasized in the press service of Tetra Pak.
Globally, according to the experts of the company, the dynamics of the cheese market will largely be associated with the development of exports, including to China, and niche areas.
