TH Group is planning to build two mega farms in Moscow region

The Governor of Moscow region Andrey Vorobyev and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam to Russia, Ngo Duc Manh opened the first phase of a dairy complex TH True Milk in Volokolamsk district of Moscow region on Wednesday. TH True Milk is a company of a full cycle, so it will produce both raw materials and processed products. The capacity of this dairy farm is 6 thousand cows.

"This is the first farm, the first object for 1.2 thousand animals, there will be five more, and we are planning to build at least one farm with TH True Milk and, generally speaking, another two big farms for 6 thousand animals each. If we talk about the barns, about 15 barns like this are planned to be built in Moscow region by 2020," said Razin. 

He added that the farm already shows the economic result: a couple of weeks after the first animals arrive at the farm there appeared calves and first milking has started.

Razin noted that such large objects together with the existing enterprises are expected to achieve the ambitious goal to produce 1 million tons of milk by 2020. The Minister said that from the point of view of the dairy market, the capacity of the region for milk processing can reach 1.5 million tons.

Besides, Razin pointed out that the concern TH True Milk has provided local residents with jobs with decent wages. In addition, the company included into crop rotation the land that had not been used before, and now cows from the farm can graze on the previously abandoned fields.
