TH Group will build a dairy complex for 6 thousand heads of dairy cattle in Khvastovichy district of Kaluga region

"Together with "TH True Milk" we are planning a dairy complex for 6,000 heads of dairy cattle in Khvastovichy district. There are reserves in the nearby Kozelsk district. Initially, the centre is located here (in Ulyanovsk district - ed.), and there they grow, because it is difficult to cover this amount (30 thousand hectares) at once," - said the Minister of agriculture of Kaluga region Leonid Gromov in an interview to The DairyNews,.

According to the official, the priority of Kaluga region is milk. Leonid Gromov also said that the holding "Miratorg" got the proposal for the construction of a dairy complex in the region.

"Now they have seen: what is the profitability of milk today; and the price of milk has not decreased filed for the last three years, but only increased; and such a unique measure of state support – 30% capex subsidy. And taking into account the investment credit, state support may reach 40%. We have already made an offer to "Miratorg" and are waiting for their response. I wish they heard us so that we could begin implementing the dairy project," said Leonid Gromov.
