The agricultural complex named after Tkachev will launch production of blue cheeses in Krasnodar region
"We are currently planning to build a factory for the production of blue cheeses. The plant will be located near the existing enterprise for the production of hard and semi - hard cheeses (launched in 2018 - INTERFAX) in Krasnodar region. We expect to take a serious market share", Fedoseyev said.
He did not mention the investment in the project, as well as the volume of production, noting that the project is "under preparation", and its details will be known in a short period of time.
"There are several project scenarios, now we are calculating the exact load. We will build it based not on the current size of the market for blue cheeses, but on our expectations of the prospects for the development of this market. Because we understand that we are now in a situation of reduced consumption, but this cannot last forever, and in 2-3 years the level of consumption will grow, and accordingly, production will also increase", the Commercial Director said.
The payback period for such projects is usually at least 10 years, he said. According to the speaker, the production of hard and semi-hard cheeses, launched at the end of 2018, is gradually reaching its design capacity.
"The line for the production of semi-hard cheeses has reached almost 100% capacity, and we still have a great potential for the production of Suluguni and mozzarella", he added.
As reported, the Agrocomplex named after N. I. Tkachev put into operation the production of hard and semi-hard cheeses at the end of 2018, having invested 9.6 billion rubles in the project. The products are produced under the brand "Nikolaev cheese factories". Specifically for the implementation of the project, a subsidiary company LLC Syry Kubani was created. At the first stage, the production capacity was 25 tons of semi-hard and hard cheeses, 16 tons of fresh cheese, 10 tons of Pasta Filatta cheeses and 30 tons of butter per day. In the production of cheeses, the company uses its own raw milk. The products are sold through the own stores of the holding, as well as in retail chains throughout Russia.
The Agrocomplex belongs to the family of former Minister of agriculture of the Russian Federation Alexander Tkachev. The complex includes more than 60 enterprises of various profiles: poultry, pig, meat and dairy cattle farming, crop production, as well as trading and processing enterprises. The own retail network of the agricultural holding has more than 700 retail stores in the Southern and North Caucasus Federal districts. The company is one of the largest owners of agricultural land in Russia, its land bank is 620 thousand hectares of arable land and 1.28 thousand hectares of gardens.
