The bill banning "sanction products" from the EEU was submitted to the State Duma

If the law is passed, the government will have the right to prohibit the circulation of goods imported from the third countries according to rules different from those specified in the EEU. First of all we are talking about goods for the importation of which customs duties are paid at rates different from those set by the single customs tariff of the EEU.

The amendments will help to improve the efficiency of the control over the prohibition of circulation of certain categories of goods and to ensure single conditions of circulation of goods, regardless of the way of their supply, types of transactions and other factors, note the authors of the document.

The bill was prepared by the Ministry of Finance and at the beginning of February approved by the government Commission on legislative activities. As it was explained to RBC by the Federal official, the main purpose of the document is a ban on the sale of goods from countries of the World Trade Organization (WTO).
