The Danes are exploring the possibility of investing in Russian agriculture

This became known during a meeting of the Danish delegation with the Deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, the leader of the Dairy Union of Russia Arkady Ponomarev, reports the DairyNews.
Foreign colleagues arrived in Moscow to participate in the international exhibition "AgroFarm". As part of the business program, the Danes met with Arkady Ponomarev.
- Today, Russia has all the prerequisites for creating a favorable investment climate. The state provides unprecedented support to agribusiness enterprises. Protection of national interests in the world trade arena has been strengthened. In addition, Russia has significant advantages in terms of land, water and biological resources. No wonder the interest in the Russian agroindustrial complex from foreign companies, including representatives of Vietnamese, Chinese, Thai business, relatively new partners for us, is only growing, – stressed Arkady Ponomarev.
Russia has reached record levels in the production of grain, poultry, pork, vegetable oils, said the parliamentarian.
– We set the task of developing deep processing of agricultural raw materials, - explained Arkady Ponomarev. - We are actively looking for partners for technology transfer and commercialization. Ready and tested solutions of the Europeans will save us time and ensure future growth of agriculture.
In the field of cattle breeding Russia is interested in livestock replenishment. So at the meeting there was discussed the elite breeding material, the formation of the Fund for promising seeds for production of quality forages. There were also talks about the exchange of experience in the field of veterinary medicine and prevention of animal diseases.
The parties expressed interest to develop cooperation in these areas. Projects can be implemented in the form of a joint production; an example is the Russian-Danish cheese factory in Voronezh region. It can also be implemented through opening of branches of foreign legal entities.
The participants of the meeting agreed to exchange the visits of delegations in order to study the possibilities of cooperation more in detail.
