The EEC Council will exclude changes in the technical regulations on the maximum permissible drug residues in raw materials

As it became known during the meeting of the Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission, participated by the Ministry of agriculture, there were discussed the issues of improving the Technical regulations of the Customs Union on food safety, development of the domestic market, as well as veterinary well-being of the territories of the Eurasian Economic Union.

During the event, Deputy Minister of agriculture Maxim Uvaydov noted the need for soon exclusion of the requirements for the epizootic well-being of the territories of the member States of the Union from the technical regulations. Due to the fact that they are already set out in the Common veterinary requirements approved by the Decision of the Customs Union Commission in 2010, their duplication is excessive. This initiative was unanimously supported by all the member States of the EEC.

In addition, at the suggestion of the Ministry of agriculture of the Russian Federation, the EEC Council decided to exclude changes in technical regulations on the maximum permissible levels of residues of veterinary drugs in unprocessed raw materials of animal origin, established by acts of the Union.

Following the meeting, the members of the EEC Council noted that the issues on the designated topics will be considered and resolved.
