The export of Belarusian agricultural products in 2017 increased by 15%

"In 2017 the export of Belarusian agricultural products amounted to $4.9 billion, which makes 115% to 2016. The enterprises of the Ministry of agriculture and food during 2017 year exported products fin the amount of $2.4 billion," said Leonid Zayats.

According to the results of the work in farms of all categories last year agricultural production amounted to 104.1% compared to 2016, in agricultural organizations - 105.3%.
"The positive dynamics of the growth of agricultural production was noted in all regions. The country is committed to the innovative development of the agricultural sector. The level of productivity exceeded the level of 2016 almost by all positions", said the Minister.

In 2017, the yield of cereals, rapeseed, potatoes and sugar beet increased. The average milk yield per cow in Belarus for the first time exceeded 5 tons.

"The growth of production volumes combined with favorable price conditions and decisions on financial rehabilitation of agricultural organizations contributed to the improvement of the agrarian economy. The revenue from sales of products has increased by 17% net profit has increased twice, the number of unprofitable agricultural enterprises has decreased 1.7 times", - said Leonid Zayats.
