According to the Federal customs service of Russia, exports of milk and dairy products (HS codes 0401-0406) in March 2020 amounted to $ 7.6 million against $ 6.6 million in February, reported in the press service of the Federal state Budgetary Institution “The Center of Agroanalytics” to The DairyNews.
Ukraine remains the main importer of Russian milk and dairy products: exports to this country amounted to 3.55 million US dollars. Rostov region became the leading supplier of milk and dairy products to Ukraine: the entire volume of exports ($ 2.70 million) fell on this country. This allowed the region to take the second place in the list of major exporters of milk and dairy products in March 2020. Moscow region remains in the first place ($ 2.91 million), and Moscow is in the third place ($0.73 million).
The main export positions in March 2020 were other dairy products (HS code 04039091) ($ 1.17 million), other milk and cream (HS code 04012099) ($ 0.96 million), young cheeses and cottage cheese (HS code 04061050) ($ 0.6 million).
