The government will allocate more than half a billion rubles to the regions for the creation and modernization of dairy farms - Mikhail Mishustin

The money will go to 13 regions. Among them are Udmurtia, Chuvashia, Stavropol, Arkhangelsk, Bryansk, Voronezh, Irkutsk, Kursk, Saratov and Sverdlovsk regions.

Federal funds will help to put into operation 15 dairy farms, where more than 10 thousand cows will be kept, as well as 8 fruit and vegetable storages with a total capacity of more than 17 thousand tons. All this will contribute to the development of agriculture.

The issue was discussed at a Government meeting on November 26. According to Mikhail Mishustin, the support of agricultural enterprises is necessary so that citizens have a wide choice of high-quality products, and to ensure the food security of the country as a whole.

On the same day, the Government meeting discussed the allocation of more than 10.5 billion rubles from the reserve fund for partial compensation of farmers' expenses for the maintenance and purchase of feed for dairy cattle, 5.6 billion rubles - for reimbursement of part of the costs of creating and modernizing agro-industrial facilities and 788 million rubles for subsidizing the Rural Mortgage program. The orders on this were signed on November 29.
