The gross milk production on farms of Moscow region amounted to about 300 thousand tons in the first 5 months of 2021
‘The gross milk production on farms of all categories in Moscow region amounted to 297 thousand tons for 5 months of this year, which is 6.3 thousand tons more than last year. Agricultural organizations in Moscow region produced 267.7 thousand tons of milk, which is 4.8 thousand tons more than last year,’ Sergey Voskresensky said.
The leaders in gross milk production were urban districts: Kolomna added 4.6 thousand tons to the level of last year and produced 27.8 thousand tons; Sergiev Posad – 23.9 thousand tons; Lukhovitsy - 19.3 thousand tons; Stupino - 19 thousand tons.
‘During this period, the number of cows in agricultural organizations increased by 2.3 thousand and amounted to 86.3 thousand animals. Stupino, Kolomna, Ramenskoye and Sergiev Posad city districts, Lukhovitsy and Voskresensk are among the leaders in livestock growth,’ emphasized Sergey Voskresensky.
The Minister added that the livestock breeders of the region received 20.9 kg per cow per day on average.
